Meet Inclusive Entrepreneur: Julie Fernandez

Julie Fernandez

Julie is a passionate Actress, Disability Rights Campaigner and Consultant.

She has appeared in many award-winning television programmes, including The Office, Eldorado, Holby City and, most recently, Casualty (2019) as well as presenting a host of national TV shows including Wish You Were Here, Heaven & Earth and The Politics Show.

She has also written, produced & hosted several of her own documentaries for BBC Radio 4, for which she received an award.

Julie also provides bespoke disability awareness training for companies including The Young Vic, Buckingham Palace and Citi Bank and is enthusiastic about helping organisations become more disability friendly.

Julie founded The Disability Foundation charity in 1998 and was a foster parent for 5 years.

A confident public speaker, Julie has spoken for Scope, the EU and hosted various national events, including the Mobility Roadshow.
